1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website and the services offered by The Adinkra Group (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). These Terms govern your access to and use of our website, as well as the booking and participation in any of our organized programs, tours, or services (collectively, the “Services”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Services.

 

2. Nature of Our Services

The Adinkra Group is a cultural resource company that specializes in curating and organizing educational and heritage travel experiences, including but not limited to, tours, retreats, and fellowships (each, a “Trip”).

We are the direct provider of the Trip organization services, but we may utilize independent third-party vendors for specific services, such as local ground transportation, accommodation, and specific activity providers. While we vet these partners thoroughly, we are not responsible for their independent actions or omissions.

 

3. Booking and Payments

  • Trip Cost: The price for a Trip, including all included services and a breakdown of payment schedules (such as deposits), will be clearly outlined on the Trip’s listing or in your personalized booking agreement.

  • Payment Agent: We utilize third-party payment processors (such as Stripe, Airwallex, or others) to securely process all payments for our Trips. By making a payment, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of that payment processor.

  • Booking Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed only upon our written confirmation and successful receipt of the required deposit or full payment.

  • Financial Liability: Your obligation to pay the full Trip Cost is a contract between you and The Adinkra Group. We do not guarantee payments from other parties.

 

4. Eligibility and Account Use

  • Age Restriction: Our Services and the website are intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

  • Account Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information updated. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password.

 

5. Cancellations, Refunds, and Travel Issues

  • Cancellation Policy: All bookings are subject to the specific cancellation and refund policy provided for that particular Trip, which will be detailed in your booking agreement. You must review this policy before confirming your reservation.

  • Dispute Resolution: If you experience a significant issue during a Trip that materially affects the core services we promised (a “Travel Issue”), you must immediately notify our on-site representative or contact us directly so we may attempt to resolve the issue in real-time.

 

6. Limitation of Liability and Assumption of Risk

  • General Disclaimer: We are not liable for any personal injury, property damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity that may be caused by, or arise out of, the actions or negligence of any third-party supplier (e.g., hotels, airlines, or local guides) over which we have no direct control.

  • Travel Risk: You acknowledge that travel, particularly to international and developing destinations, involves certain inherent risks. By booking a Trip, you voluntarily assume all such risks and agree to release The Adinkra Group from any claims or liability related to these risks.

  • Total Liability Limit: In no event shall our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of our Services exceed the total amount you paid to us for the specific Trip or service giving rise to the claim.

 

7. Modifications and Governing Law

  • Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will post the revised Terms on our website, and your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

  • Governing Law: These Terms and any dispute arising from them will be governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

 

8. General Responsibilities

You agree to comply with all local laws and regulations of the countries you visit on our Trips, including all visa, passport, and health requirements. We reserve the right to remove any participant from a Trip who is disruptive or whose conduct may endanger themselves or others.
